Hey that doesn't look too bad. My car was worse. Run the 1600, if you want more go, stroke it, or put a U20 in. If you start going custom, and start cutting the car can never be the same once you are done with it.
Just my $.02

I have seen worse. The cars I gave away were in the same condition, or a bit better. It will be a fun project and it will be well worth it. Like alot of people say.. just try out the R then decide..

That roadster looks to be in great shape. I am in the process of a swap but would recommend keeping the R in for practicality. The R motors are pretty racy in their own right. If you do need to rebuild the R many parts can be had cheaply from the local Nissan forklift dealer. Good luck with your project and keep us updated as to your progress.

The car looks good. You are going to have a ton of fun with this project. Stick with the 1.6--save your dollars for making it handle out of the corners and look good in the parking lot!

Years? Tell them parts for a H20. I think there is some info in the engine section of the forum.

I stroked my 1600, and have just about got it complete, waiting on my Dellortos's to arrive. Be carefull on what you ask for on the H20. Yes the forklift yard will help you. The one I delt with was great! but the H20 came in more configurations then the R1600. If you use the part number off the Ralle site they can look it up for you and get the right part. My forklift salvage yard was my best friend through this build. Just a heads up.

There is a parts manual on the main web site with all of the part numbers.

Where are you located in MI?
I might be able to hook you up with some left over odds and ends from supply of parts left over after I sold the race car.

Well money is tight right now. I'm pretty much just focusing on getting the body into paint ready shape. Then the interior. I'm just asking around about parts for it 'cause I intend on doing motor work after my body is done. Thanks alot guys i really appreciate it- michigan 67
