Hot Rod Dave’s wild ride

My buddy Dave, who by the way did all the paint and body work on my car. Loves the lines on the roadster. So he bought one and is starting to put it together his way. He had a tube frame that was collecting dust so..... He plans on a small block Chevy, blown with a six speed. He already has most of the parts. Time will tell.

Very interesting!! A couple of weeks ago, I was daydreaming about the "ultimate roadster" I'd love to build/drive. Tubular space frame, LSX, tilt front end. I'm in to see this take shape!

Sorry I haven't kept up with this thread. I have lots of pictures to post and need some direction in how to post these big pictures everyone else is posting. It takes way to much time to resize each one. I'm currently accepting all suggestions. The car just got under its own power so the end is near

You can batch resize pictures easily with online tools. Here is one as an example.

Free to use as well as a simple interface.

The value of our stock roadster jumps again as yet another modified takes shape!

CK, this obviously ain't Dave's first rodeo. You said he also does paint and body -- what other builds has he done?

Tube frame! Now that's the way to do it if you're going to stuff a high powered V-8 in a roadster. Unless he is going to add side pipes it's going to be mighty loud. Does he intend to drive it on the street?

It has mufflers and they dump out just in front of the tires. It sounds real healthy! It will be on the street but it’s definitely a straight line car. Has a huge Keith Williams rear end, 383 sb Chevy running around 550hp and he keeps going back and forth on squirting it with nitrous. I’m bummed because I’m to tall to drive it. I’ll post more of the build photos and will try to figure out how to post videos. We’ll be at a track by end of summer. I’ve challenged him to a drag race so I’ll post the times when we do.
More to come

I’m interested in hearing about that flush windshield. Any info?
