I think, AGAIN, THINK, I used a double male end from Firewall to connector, and then another male to male to go from the connector to the Flexible brake hose. That's' why I think I used the inline female/female connector referenced above.

I replaced all the lines with new, and where the lengths were right I used preformed and terminated lines, or I made my own line and my own connectors to fit.

I had a thread on here somewhere making all the lines, as I did quite a lot to reduce the spaghetti on the firewall.
Oh! I assumed (yeah, yeah.....) you had Classic Tube lines. I'll look for your thread.

:smt022 Found your thread, Tom. :D

Guess what you didn't provide any pictures of? :smt022

In the process, I found several other posts on the same thing with various workarounds. I've emailed Classic Tube, but think I just need to get an adapter, which will add only 1 more joint to leak.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I was hoping to see if anyone got pictures of their solution to this. I was looking to bend my own line, but wasn't sure if that junction was needed, and if it was, I suspect I lost the ferrel and looking for a modern solution.

I think that I still have one of those fittings with the ferrule lying around.

I think the reason for the joint was to make it easier for the factory folks running the lines. When I bought a set of Classic Tube lines they didn't include the ferule but sold me one when I asked about it. It was a couple years ago & I think it cost $15.

Peace,
Pat

A text from Curtis had me go and review this thread I started, and I realized I hadn't updated it.

Turns out Classic Tubing put the wrong end on. They made me a new line at no cost. Unfortunately, that was in 2018 and I didn't try to install it until 2022, and that's when I discovered the redo was metric threads. :smt013

I had to pay for it, but the third time was the charm.

Btw, Classic Tubing sells the ferrules.
