Hello everyone.., Shamus here.., as I delve into this new world of roadsters., I find that I like the flat dash with the toggles. It seems more nostalgic to me. The foam dash of the 69 doesn’t do it for me. I want to change the dash into the flat dash.. Would this be difficult to do?? New gauges. New toggles., I just figure I should just go with flat dash. I know I would enjoy the look more especially once I finish the makeover. Your opinions and comments please.

Been there Done That. viewtopic.php?f=27&t=17915 It's not a simple nor inexpensive process. Going from push-pull to toggle switches for head lights and wipers was a challenge. Cannot realistically use late gauges, would be best to upgrade to modern electronic ones. A lot of wiring to be done. If you are willing to accept the challenge, I'd be happy to assist with input and/or helpful hints. P.S. I do have a decent, bare, early dash to help you get started.

Lots of info and reading can be found bu searching "dash conversion".
Big subject is difficult to answer simply.

The defroster system and heater controls are the biggest challenge. Now that late defroster vents are being reproduced, I would be adapting them to the early dash. You can also use your push pull switches if that doesn't distract too much for you.
