weird sound by distributor

Hi everyone, I have this weird sound by my distributor it kind of sounds like whistling until you turn off the motor then at the very end it sounds like a squeak, while running the sound varies in pitch and you can't hear it at all at high rpms. Any clues?

sounds like a terribly shot vacuum advance unit to me...

Try disconnecting the tach cable
