Oh boy, I'd love to attend. my car is almost ready and running, maybe this can be my first event! Curious, is there a time limit to the discounted Zonc pricing or will that price stay the same until August? Hard for me to commit this far out.

He got it half right. It was originally campaigned by Andy Vargo, but those 60 race wins in the 80s and 90s were driven by Rock Vest and Randy Carter.

That photo is showing up everywhere!

Any way to find out what time on Sunday the Datsun parade lap is scheduled for? I usually go to PB Concours on Sunday. Hope to meet you tonight or tomorrow at Solvang.
Thanks

Hi Everyone,
I'm passing on some very exciting news from ZONC: there are 62 cars signed up for the Nissan Car Corral and 53 cars signed up for Sunday's Parade Lap!!!

We have 9 roadsters doing the parade lap with some already volunteering to have VIPs ride along.

The Parade Lap will be on Sun., August 26 at 12:25-12:45 p.m.

Please sign up for this event it is not to be missed! 59 Datsuns/Nissans have been accepted to race, 14 of those are our very own Datsun Roadsters!

You need to sign up for the SUNDAY 8/26 Nissan/Datsun corral and parade lap (separately) through ZONC - Z Owners of Northern California.

Note: You cannot do the parade lap w/o being part of the corral.

Make that 83. Guess I better get in the garage and finish the car, eh?

Make it 84.

Finally got around to signing up. Knew I was going but had to wait for my family to decide whether they were coming to Laguna or going to the Concours at Pebble. There was no decision to be made for ME because hey, we're talkin' NISSAN/DATSUN versus "Ehh, be fun to schmooze with the elite in their Kentucky Derby regalia but not a must do." I was ready to come alone if need be since wife and her family wanted to go to the Concours. But now that they've seen the prices to merely ogle the cars made of unobtainium... from outside of touching distance. Laff....

We're there the entire weekend for Mecum Auctions on Friday/Saturday (only partially since there are only a few lots I'm interested in bidding on) and at WLSR on Sunday; primarily for featured races and of course, the corral and parade lap; so if there are others of us who might wish to hang out for cocktails or anything on Friday/Saturday, let's put something together! We will definitely cruise into Carmel for dinner at our favorite restaurant and shopping at "my" shirt store. :smt003
