Finally making my intro

Greetings,

It's been 1.5 years since I acquired my '69 2000 roadster. I've been a long time fan of the Fairlady and always wanted to find one of my own. I was in the right time/place to find a local Pittsburgh craigslist post for what now graces my garage. For spending almost all of its life on the east coast (first 3 yrs. being in Cali) my roadster is solid, drive-able, but in need of some TLC to really bring it back to 100% and further protect it from the elements so it can last another 50 yrs.

This week marks the beginning of project and journey to restore my roadster. Disassembly underway, I'll be doing all mechanical/electrical and my friend who owns a hot rod shop will be taking care of body/frame/glass and eventually interior. It's a daunting task, but this site has already been such a wealth of knowledge and resources and I'll be ramping up my posts as the weeks go on.

I have a bunch of parts that I've cleaned/rebuilt/restored that came with my car and some that I won't be needed in the resto. I'll post them as they are ready, but feel free to reach out if you need something I may have.

-Sean

Here is the usual and sound advice for the new owner.
You say you have had it for 1.5 years. Have you used/driven it enough to know it?. If not
STOP the dismantle/restoration. You say it runs/drives. DRIVE it for a year.
THEN decide.

Ted.

I’ll be cleaning up those wheels and looking to sell. I have another wheel setup I’m working on for my car. Let me know if you’re interested.
