Raodster sighting....oh, no, never mind.

Post by 68DSU »

I was watching an Italian version of Nero Wolfe last night (long story) and I spotted a Datsun Roadster parked in the suspects driveway. "What is this?", I said. "Why would a Japanese car be used on a set of an Italian show set in the 60's?" I annoyed The Bride by backing it up for a closer look at the one second shot and annoyed her further by jumping up at further sightings. I then noticed a few differences. The handy box of all knowledge sitting at my right hand (iPhone) allowed Google and I to solve the mystery of the car. A Fiat 1500. I completely failed to solve the mystery on TV, maybe because it is hard to read subtitles when looking at car pix on your phone.
Are they around in the US? It wasn't a bad looking car. Kind of an unrefined Datsun.
Rick
Constantly working on the Datsun whenever I get around to it.
