63 didn't have a shroud iirc. Nice move with the fan.

Ray,
Are you around this weekend? I would love to stop by on the way to my parents.

I think those are original correct 1963 hubcaps. Are those still on the car?

Nope, those are Pinto. The 63 (other than the prototypes) used the same hubcaps as the 64 and 65 models.

Ah yes. I was looking at a vintage ad from 1963 and it had the uh, "pintoesque" looking wheels/hubcaps but they are different.

Carry on!

Hey AJ,
Yes! I will be home in the late afternoon on both days... let me know when you’ll be over. See you soon!

So no shroud... should I leave it as it will cool better. It looks as it belongs there. Keep or toss shroud?
Your thoughts?

The PO couldn't find them so all i got was the bare set of 13 rims. I am still on my quest for either the slotted or round hubcaps. Well, i can always sport the car with some 62 ford falcon ranchero hubcaps in the meantime.

Personally i would keep it. The cooling systems in these cars in stock form are adequate at best. They need all the help they can get.

Ray, if you are reading this there is a problem with your email address. None of the requests are getting through such as PMs. Do you have another you can use? Thanks.

Here’s a pic of Keith Williams tuning my carb. I had to ask for a 1/2 price discount from his standard rate as there’s only half the work that needed to be done ;-)
And yes, this car drove back and forth to Mendenhall without a hitch! Because of the bias ply tires
(size: 6.00-13) I didn’t want to chance it above 35 mph.
In the meantime, I will enjoy driving it around town for a while until the next phase....folks at the show had mixed ideas between keeping it as a survivor or restoring it to its former glory.

I saw that car at the show and it was phenomenal shape for its age. So many things on it were perfect. Ray's son showed it off like a sales man but he won't let it go at any price. That was for certain.
