Does anyone know this car??

Post by tkb72 »

I'm thinking about bidding on this car, does anyone know this car or the owner Daniel Bull.
Thanks!
Tyler

Neither that car or its owner are listed in the Roadster Registry. That VIN is wrong. Does look nice in the photos.

Like Pete said it is not entered in the registry and the lister is not a member here or the Datsun Roadster List. From the pictures it does look like a very nice car but who knows what the mechanicals are like?? Parts are not cheap for a 2 liter rebuild. It still not badly priced.

Only part that scares me is "just out of paint booth". I recognise one of the bidders, who is local to the car and may have gone to see it. He was outbid and didn't rebid higher, for what that is worth. I've bought three cars based only on the pictures and phone conversation I had with the owners and wasn't disappointed. Call him up and go with your gut.

I emailed the seller that the car was nice, but the VIN was incorrect. After being accused of being the eBay Police, he posted the correct VIN (just above the pics).

Turns out the car IS registered here on the site:

I'm guessing Pete Stokes must've sold it to Daniel instead of finishing the resto. Guess you can update the registry listing, Steve.

Thanks to all that replied!
I'm the new proud owner of the car. The car is as he described in his ebay ad. I will add the car to the registry when I get a chance.

Sweet. The car looks really good in the pictures and you got a very nice deal on it.

Congrats on the car tyler. I have more history on the car if you are interested. I tried buying that car back in 2002, but it went for too much.
