So recently I decided to puchase my second ever Datsun ... the first being my 68 2000... however when the option came along to purchase 662 ... well the rest is history

The car was last run in 86... and suffered as many cars in the 80’s some really bad ideas and a previous owner that was given a drill for a present at some point ...
But it was 99% complete and matching numbers .... and a 67.5 2000

So I have started a full resto ...
Ps always good to get a photo of the wife smiling with the car - will be useful later on lol

Have a Facebook page following the resto
https://m.facebook.com/groups/1364384446943667. If your interested have a look...
Thanks already to JT for the missing shift plate :)

Looks good!

You aussie’s and your non-smog heads! Most of us have a hard time in the states locating a suitable head for 67 2 liters.

Agreed on the JT shift plates, they’re nice. I left most of my 67 2000 specific items off of 42 and used repro stuff from Jim. His items are just as nice (in a lot of cases better than original)!

Love it! So, right hand drive, does this RHD version count in the total number of '67 2000s, or is there a separate category for LHD vs RHD '67 2000s?

Greg ... yes is included in the 700 ish numbers ... although RHD are a rare beast indeed with maybe a dozen in Australia ... quite a few went back to Japan in the 90’s
Interestingly Australia only got the solex 150 packs - which 662 has but not uncommon still sports the 135 hp original tag ... not unusual according to Lou Mondello
Ps 662 is already on the register from the PO ... nearly finished the strip down so lookin for a good panel and paint guy presently !
