windscreen wipers pivots broken

Post by rolando38 »

hello

my first work on the roadster is to repair the wipers
the pivots were broken from the linkage, and their extraction was already a good challenge; with the help of a friend, and after sawing the nuts, we managed to remove them
here's a pic of the damages

2 questions:
1/would anyone have replacement linkage+pivots for sale ?
2/ is it possible to use a full 68-70 linkage in replacement of a 67 ?

thanks for your help

Roland

the good news are that I have found a good, restored, windscreen wipers assembly
the lesser good news is that I do not remember which arm is which
here is what it looks like

my question is :
is the top arm (marked "E" and with a leg) the LH one or the RH one ?

thanks

Not sure if you have a round or rect. motor (might not make any difference). On my '66 (rect.), the arm w/the linkage (leg) goes to the left side, the straight arm to the right. I think when they are mounted correctly, they should clear the metal defroster ducts ,have to make sure they are not upside down.
