New to the roadster team. Picked up a 65 1500 about a month ago, not sure what the feelings are on 310's It's a little rough but I'm excited to get this project heading in the right direction. I have an idea of where I want to end up with it just need to make a plan to get started with it.

Attaching a few extra pictures maybe someone can jump in and decipher some of the banging, it has a void in the hood along with a "Limited" badge above the Datsun letters. I suspect it could have been added at a later date but not sure, maybe someone will have some info for me. Thanks in advance!

Welcome! We like 310s just fine. Definitely looks like the limited badge was an add-on, never seen that before, but I know very little about 310s. Looking forward to watching your progress.

There is a few 310 gurus here, nissanman in particular has a 65 310 and is friendly and knowledgeable. Bet he will chime in sooner or later.

I am by no means expert, but i can spot a few more "non oem" bits, like the rearview mirrors and the corner marker lights on the fenders. and those lights on the front bumper. Never seen that before.

What engine you got? What about interior? The 65 model is a 2 seater spl 310 that has alot of similar parts to the 64s and also have many bits that are unique to 65s.

Does it run and drive? What are your plans? share away theres lots of good info to be had!

Welcome. Saw the car when it was listed online. I'm in Houston and have a couple of 1500's , as well.

On the front of the hood, the DATSUN letters are original. But the 'Limited' badge is not original. And the hole above the 'limited' badge is quite baffling...

The holes above are for a hood ornament that was installed (not original to the car, but could have been Datsun), and has beenremoved.
