wheel questions?

Post by Datsundude »

Hello all,

Wheel question?
I'm trying to find out if this bolt pattern and offset will fit onto our roadster.
they are 4-114.3 (bolt pattern) 21mm (offset) and 70mm (center bore)

thanks very much.

Thanks for responding to my questions.
the wheel is 14x6, I do not know the brand, it suppose to be some kind of old school wheels.

Ben, if it's a 6'' wheel, You got to do better than a +21 offset! that's just too tucked in and, in my opinion, just don't look right.

I'll bet they are "Black Racing" BR8 Watanabe lookalikes, as they are just about all +21 offset and as "old school" as they come!

My guide (with my personal appearance bias included)
in a 6'' wheel, no more than 12 no less than 6
In a 6.5'' wheel, no more than 19 no less than 12
7''? a 20 MIGHT work, if it don't rub the springs (Getting REAL close!)

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the in put.
So in terms of bolt pattern and bore size will mount onto our Roadster, right?
Now what if I use spacer (half inch) will this work?
with the spacer mount with the the wheels, will the tire rub against the fender? Just a thought

thanks

OK, this is what I find out from the owner 4H-114.3 bolt patter, +21mm offset and 70mm bore size, brand RS Watanabe.
I plane on mounting 195/60/14 ties onto these wheel with spacer.

has anyone successfully done this with or without spacer that you guys know of?

thanks

Ok, That is good info.

14X6 Offset B (+21) wats they will fit. But they will look strange. Ok, so you say you'll space them out. But now your lugs won't reach. And still, your sacrificing the "Lip" (deep dish look) with +21's. I'd advise you to pass. Or if they are dirt cheap (350 or less) buy um, try um, then sell um to a 240SX owner, where they will look a little more at home.

The majik "roadster fitment" for Wats is 14 X 6 +13 or 14 X 6.5 Offset B (+14.5). I've been searching for these for a while. I'd buy them new if it wasn't for the 2 grand plus price tag! Too bad they aren't making the Rewinds to these specs! Lots of money for 3 little swans.

Here's the Watanabe fittment chart

I have 240sx wheels on mine, 1/4" spacer on the front, fits, clears with 185/70/14. Looks a bit tucked, especially in the back. I should get the longer lug nuts, but is temporary. I'm changing to normal offset 5 slots, so old school they are Pre school. Have a set of western (I think Cyclones), old turbine style, normal offset will be going up for sale, as well as the 240sx wheels.

There's a set of "Black Racing BR8's" Watanabe look-alikes with the same spec on sale on the club4ag.com forum. I went to see them but got turned off by the +21 offset

These wheels will look sweet, my roadster will be smiling, although its not drivable yet, hopefully by the end of this year. I'm crossing my finger.

Let see if I can break the piggy bank without letting my wife know.

I must be spoiled, My Wife didn't like any of the 3 sets of wheels I had, so she told me to get more!
