The hinge should be at the bottom. This makes it easier to open at the gas station. If the hinge is at the top, the cover will swing down and make key insertion more difficult..

Oh David, I am already offended that you are not aware of this serious problem amongst the roadster community.
From extensive research the cap lid ridge should be vertical with the hinge at the TOP. The thinner edge of the ridge at the top.
Pay no mind to the incorrect information from RCMike. He is an unrepentant repeat offender. We gave him a special exemption a while back as he
was driving so much that he was always at the gas station and always in a rush so could not put the cap on correctly.
But since he is not driving as much now, I will rescind his exemption.

Here are some pictures.

No sweat: just pop on a Suzuki cap, and you'll be as safe as dbrick's fox wearin' shades!

I don't believe that my gas cap can be put on in such a way as to have the cover be vertical... mine is always at an angle.
And yes Ted, I have thought about you nearly every time I put gas in the damn car now!!!!

Greg, Greg, Greg, For Shame from a man of your roadster knowledge! :D
Loosen the filler hose clamp.
Turn the filler neck till the cap lid is vertical.
Tighten filler hose clamp.
There you go!

Prolly should install a new vent hose WYT. The old one will fracture if you turn the neck
That being said, not everyone has a perfect unencumbered body to put the cap on and off where it should be.
Hell I cant even put the lil plastic clip back on the bread bag :smt076

Hey guys, My mate just let me know about your calendar (he is a 2000 owner and I dream of the day) but this is an example of his car plus the file size I use for Facebook/my website. This has had a resolution drop and jpg compression to get under 4mb, I have a few roadster pictures I can send though (from my website) but would you like a larger resolution? Obviously the pictures I send through won't have my watermark on them either, Just need a max file size to stay under and I will email the highest quality I can of my pictures.

Cheers for that Ted. Ted I know your name from somewhere, it’s not from the Datsun 320 Facebook pages is it?

I will output the files around that file size and send some through.
