Well let's see, looks like that's an amplifier right beside the hose, and amps draw lots of current. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the opportunity for a spark is very high. Gas fumes and spark equals BBQ ,....I like brisket, chicken, and bologna! REPLACE THAT HOSE NOW!! You can have most any auto parts store cut you one to length. FYI it will nor effect the way your car runs.

I wouldn’t even think about performance, as there won’t be any performance if your car goes up in flames. Have to get the basics taken care of. And my car never ran right, despite the comments here, with fuel bowl lids that weren’t sealed with a good gasket. In any event you need to seal them for safety. Cutting your own is easy too.

The tank is vented, so, it would not effect your running issues.

I've flipped out my lines and apparently they're not fuel injection I found out today and the guy said don't have to be but idk what else I've touched to keep this starving for fuel ... still not good ..

I don’t use fuel injection grade hose, but it probably is better. Maybe just try to get better clamps

"Yes, the tank is vented........unless the vent line is plugged."
I think the vent is via the fuel tank cap.
Mine has a V shaped notch cut out of the rubber seal to allow the tank to breathe to the atmosphere.
