Fellow DATSUN lovers I need help in trying to find some Main Bearings and Connecting Rod Bearings. I have a 1967 and the engine is a R16 I pulled the engine to replace the Rope Seal and noticed that my bearings are worn to the point that the brass is starting to show. I am trying to find various places that sell them (for price) any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dean at Datsunparts.com has everything you need. That is where I get all of my engine parts for my restorations, including my personal vintage racer 1600.

There are many places to buy engine parts (I have every engine part there is) and many great vendors to choose from. Strongly suggest you check out the vendors page! Jt

MotorPower in KY and online has forklift parts for the R16. Order for the original Nissan forklift only. They are familiar with 311 rebuilders.
Do a Search in archives for more info and details.

You should think about getting your head surfaced and maybe a valve job, block hot tanked, crank shaft checked and maybe polished and maybe ground and cam maybe polished, and lifters maybe polished. This is all usually done at one automotive machine shop. Only after they tell you what size your crank bearings need to be will you order them. Usually they can source all of your bearings and rings and gasket set for less than you can, so usually you order them all from the shop. This also gives you a great source for answers to questions as you assemble it.

+1 for Motor Power.
Nice guy too.
You won't find R16 parts listed but the H20 shared many parts with the R16. Bearings, rings most gaskets, etc.
Check around in the WIKI, you'll find more info.
