I cannot believe how bad the body was before you started. Makes my body work I need to do on my 67 look easy. Beautiful color and nice tasteful mods. That is going to be a gorgeous ride when you are at it completion.

Congrats on crossing the finish line on you resto. I know there is more to do, but this is a great milestone.
I thought when I looked at your very first post ( though there was quite a bit of work to even get that far) that the car could disintegrate on the rotisserie-Yikes! So to bring the car back from the dead is quite impressive. You should have that pic on your windshield for every car show you go to!
Yes you underestimated on time needed to fix, but if you had known would you have proceeded?
In any case you join a very elite club- ground up resto that you substantially participated in. Awesome!
It makes whining about anything I have to fix nearly impossible though  LOL
And thanks for documenting so well. That is both inspiring and terrifying for owners

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

Thanks Linda but I can do better than a pic on the windshield... The guys at the shop made a removable tv screen for me. Not sure how I like it but for free it's great! For car shows its awesome but not something I want everyday driving. Cracks me up every time I see it! They put a lot of work into this attachment. It really is a fabulous work of wood and fiberglass! It will play from my center console dvd player. I'm in the process of making a movie to play on it when on display, The Making of Mothra!

One more day of work on Mothra, tomorrow the hard top gets primer and maybe paint to match the wheels. Very emotional day seeing the major body parts together. By the way, after sanding for the last week, I have no finger prints anymore

Spent the first day in the garage removing the broken twisted off screws in the headlight frame on the body. I really hope this is not a sign. I have known about these for a long time and never took care of them. the good news is only one left. If I didn't need to worry about the new paint this would be done. ugha

Picking up my top and roll bar today! I'll be street legal once I get my harness mounted to the roll bar so pretty excited. I also hired a real mechanic/electrician to go thru my electrical mess, expensive but well worth every penny. I still have plenty to do but yesterday was a very good day for Mothra!
