Fan from a ???? Datsun/Nissan....

Just thought I'd share a pic of the fan I got from a wreckers this morning. I went in there with the pulley from the water pump and the guy there wasn't too optimistic about finding a fan for my R16 from the datsun parts he had...

Funnily enough the 1st thing we picked up out of the odd's and end's basket was a fan that was the perfect fit! It draws a lot of air too ( it blew leaves out from under the car). I'm thinking maybe its from a Nissan Urvan seeing it has the H20 motor that shares the same water pump with the R16. The Urvan is a mini van people mover - not sure if they're in the states. I figure the fan's designed to shift extra air since it's tucked away inside the van's bodywork...

If anyone's looking for a cheap alternative to an aftermarket this may be the go - it's solved my overheating problems...

Wow, that is a big humming fan. No way is that shroud going to even come close to fitting around that. It sounds like you cured your over heating problem any way. We do not have Urvans here in the states. We always hear the folks from down-under talking about them though. Glad to hear you solved your problem.
