Soft Top Fabric Bar

Does anyone know if the metal soft top bar that holds the front of the soft top material to the front bow is the same for the early versus the late model cars? I know the front bow is different for the early versus the late, but knowing Datsun often reused parts I am wondering if the actual metal strip/bar is the same or similar. Thanks for any information you can provide.
