I have a couple of spare sets of 14" wheels that I'd like to try to run on both a Roadster and a 240Z to give he cars a different look from time to time. I'll need to confirm backspace / offsets on what I have, but has anyone had success with sharing wheels and tires between the 2 cars? Or are the sizes just too different.
On the Roadster I am currently running 185/70/14 on stock wheels with stock ride height.
A stock Z came with 175HR14. 195/70/14 is what is specified as a modern equivalent.
My Z is lowered and is running 225/50/15 tires on Enkei mesh wheels at the moment.
The wheels I have are both 14' and I believe originally specified for a Z.
1. Shelby Vipers (Libre copies) like Brisco's
or
2.These mystery wheels. http://www.311s.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.ph ... lit=wheels
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Re: Sharing wheels and tires between a Roadster and a 240Z
My '66 came with 240z stock steel wheels. They have old Sears Allstate 185-14 tires on them, and fit easily in the wells and over the brakes. I didn't run them very long a all, but no probs. I still have them if anybody wants them. Getting ready to toss them out.

I believe that the z wants closer to a 0 offset. If you can get aroundc that, it could be a lot of fun..

Re: Sharing wheels and tires between a Roadster and a 240Z
Most 14s are 6" -6.5" wide. Shouldnt be a problem. Stock Z steelies do not have hubcap clips.
Wide wheels with too much + offset on a Z, will cause tire interference with the strut lower spring perch; 15x8+5?
Z steelies on Roadster, no mod, I'm guessing hub diameter must be the same.
Wish my shop was still that clean
Roadster wheels 15x6 +24 on a 660Z (260Z). IIRC 185/60/15. No mod.

I have run 185/60-14s on both my 240Z and roadster with 0 offset rims (Appliance wire mags)
