1600 race header

Throwing a net out. I need a new header. Been scanning the site for hours and did not find too much definitive info. I don't want to afford a $2200 header, but need something better than the standard/common street header. We can talk specs and drive train, etc, if needed for fabrication. Given some specs, I may be able to cajole a friend into fabbing, but not likely (suppose tig welding required?) Any leads, ideas, fab shops or parts welcomed. TIA!

Did u find one? I'm going to play around and stall for some more time to save and take my two blown ones and make into one good one (they were blown on opposite ends.. You can find good ones out there for a lot less than that, but I saw the date on this post so you probably already got one by now .. hope u got a good one .

What did you get? How much was it? Pictures? I am running a street header and wouldn't mind having something a bit more performance minded for my 1600 race car.
