Gentlemen

For my 1967 1/2 1600 Roadster i need new glass in my winshield. I want to avoid importing from US due to the transport hazzard.
A local dealer can supply winshield glass.
Both Rallye and my local glass supplyer inform me that there are three differen winshields:

My local dealer isn no roadster expert but his catalogue list:
Type 1: From cars produced from 1963 to month 4 in 1967 ( eg pre. 1967 1/2 cars) there are one size (15in high and 48.3in wide)
Type 2: From cars produced month 4 in 1967 to cars produced month 9 in 1967 (eg the 1967 1/2 cars) (unknown height, same width)
Type 3: From cars Produced month 9 in 1967 to end of production (eg high windshield cars) ( 18in high and 50in wide)

Rallye does not say anything about the size but Gary inform me that they have both pre 1967 1/2 and the 1967 1/2 types where the difference is the inside colour of the frame (i know that)

My local dealer cannot supply the 1967 1/2 glass but only the pre 1967 1/2 glass.
I have measured my glass against a fellow roadster owners 1966 Roadster and they appear to be identical.

My question is: can anyone confirm that the two winshields in question are identicall or are there differences between them? Can i put a pre 1967 1/2 glass in my 1967 1/2 frame?

Best regards

I cannot see any difference in them. I have a '65 that I put a glass in out of a 67.5 low windshield and it fit just fine. The real difference was in the frames when they added the sun visor mounts in 67.5. The early Nissan number for the windshields has been unavalible here for quite a while. The later low windshields are no longer available OEM. If there is indeed a difference it is so subtle that it is hard to see. I think you would be pretty safe buying the early(very early) windshield. Let us know how you fair.
