My 67.5 is down in Pittsburg at Smoothline for Jack to design a hardtop . I was able to spend a few hours with Jack and left feeling very secure and ccomfortable with leaving my car with him . I showed Jack the 311 site and the two posts i started on this project . We discussed different styles of tops and the possibility of a Nissan factory top which is what most members seen to want . Without a factory top to work from this will be difficult but Jack thinks we can come pretty close and wants feedback from all of us . Believe me this is not your regular business owner where profit is the only thing that matters . Jack is the real thing , very much a car enthusiast who wants to build somethig we will be happy with.
I offered Jack the opportunity to join in with us on this post so we can all tell him directly whats on our wish lists . I assume this will be acceptable with out forum

Yes the factory profile is quite sharp looking.
I've only seen one in person, it was on a RHD 1600.
Whole car was in a guy's front yard and his parents were telling him to get it out of there pronto.
30 years later, I've never seen it turn up around here anywhere.

Extremely complex stainless trim. If you can find one and mold the trim Id buy one

This is a good point!
I totally forgot that the rear window appears to have chrome trim. The rain gutter trim should be easy to replicate with the door molding stuff, right?

There is a bmc mini window trim you could use as a substitute for the rear window. The front and side would be difficult and would be best moulded.

WOW! That is impressive hardware. I had no idea it was so intricate, and like real window trim! Is this the same for the low windshield?

Merry Christmas all. There is a low screen factory hard top plug here in oz. Not sure about the complexity of the low screen tops but assume the worst. Big Healey folks here have made a mold of the similar trim on their factory tops but you need someone with a whole set to fitted to make a mold from the factory top.

It's just the door window. No side only the one rear. Hardy in Melb makes some repro hardtop parts http://www.hrc-dat.com.au/Various-Datsu ... Parts.html

Austin Healey also had a factory hardtop. https://goo.gl/images/8CyNYQ

Smooth line do a copy but perhaps the way around it is to silver paint the rain gutter
