Did you pull the plugs after idling or immediately after higher RPM? If the plugs are pretty new what I have done is spray them with electronic contact cleaner to clean them up, then reinstall , drive on the highway, then check the plugs. Bet they are closer to tan . Even without cleaning, I have seen the higher RPM "burn off" a darker color frequently.
A lot if idling and stop and go driving seems to load the plugs, on my car at least.
