Hi Guys !! My name is Sam & im new to the forum , as well as Japanese cars. This is my first japanese project & iv'e been looking for a Roadster for quite a while .. finaly found one. The car was stored since 1995 and never made the road back.. im looking to make a "full" restore out of it , the car is strong , no rust on the floor . But the motor need work .. This is also my first project where i need to work pretty much on everything... ! First of ... what is the first thing i need to do on the motor to make it back on the road? so many stuff to do i don't know where to begin.. haha! Im excited for this project!

If anyone have a low windshield in good condition , please message me!
Also have "brand new" red roadster front seat that should be for sale soon...
My last car was a bmw 2002 1976 , as well as a Bmw E36!

Welcome! There are a few of us Datsun 1500 guys on here. If you have any questions, please ask! If your engine is unable to be run easily, some of us have spare engines too.

Thank you!! I would have a couple of question soon to be honest haha! Looks like the engine is not "seized" so i might be able to "rebuild it" , but not sure what to begin with , new fuel line , new gasket kit , new carburator , new air filter ... ?

Ooohh, I just got to see the picture - a two seat 1500. Nice! If the engine is not seized, I would try to get it running to assess what you really need.

In my opinion the first thing to do is ...read! There are manuals on this site to download and give some background. Also many articles about common problems. The Parts Interchange page has many parts sources and substitutes. And the Search function helps find others with the same problem. You can add to an old thread or start a new one.
There are many helpful people here to answer your questions.

Thank you Linda! Appreciate !! Yes , already downloaded the manual service! I'll look around old thread and see if people have answered the same question im asking !

Also if you can put your location into your user info, there may be Roadster owners in Europe to help you. Or you can have a Roadster BBQ and invite them. Ahhh, brie on the BBQ....just kidding

Oh yes, I see earlier you said Quebec. Guess I should READ more lol. Sorry about that! Supposed to be beautiful there too, so the pic request still applies! Watkins Glen would be a nice event, as mentioned and a chance to get expert advice on your car
