I'm from coarsegold ca. & a newbie to the Datsun roadsters. It's a 66 1600, black plates, original motor with a 5speed that someone converted. I've been on the forum asking some questions & buying some parts. I ran into the Datsun by accident, went to check out a couple of classic domestic projects & came home with the Datsun. I'm getting it road worthy right now. I finally drove it. It needs a few things & I can't wait to cruise it around the neighborhood & to work. I have the roadster bug. :)

I have the original steering wheel on it now. The personal steering wheel gave me a little more leg room though..

From one Greg to another, welcome! Love the period correct slotted mag wheels. We're here to help! So, ever find or go looking for some of that "Coursegold"? What's the history of that towns name? Sometimes they were named as such to lure people in, other times it was a description of what people found there! With a name like that I'd be out with the ol metal detector looking for gold or relics!

The towns on the way up to Yosemite national park, old gold mining town name :). I live real close to an Indian reservation & casino. Burrows is an native last name around here. Some tribal members at a casino have that last name.

I'll stake my claim! Going to do that DNA testing thing before too long... I know I'm half Colombian and half Welsh (I'm a British Colombian!)... Who knows, maybe I'm Native too!

Well, I've been finally driving my roadster around & I can't get enough. I'm looking for reasons to test it out or give rides. A lot of thumbs up & people asking, what is it? There was a neighbor across the street that surprisingly knew a lot about them. I must admit, I officially have a smile from ear to ear!

A lot of people have never seen a Datsun roadster. Real good response back on these little beauties..
