What lug nuts are you using? Or are you swapping to a metric stud to use the 280ZX lug nuts?

There are properly shouldered lug nuts that have the Roadster pitch available, but I don't have a part number for you. It was mentioned in the past on this forum however, so try doing a search. If you have to use wheel spacers, be sure you have enough thread left.

When I ran these on my car, I used wheel spacers in the rear and longer wheel studs, and drilled out the centering part of the wheel stud hole that the stud goes through to allow the longer lug nuts to go through the wheel and into the spacer but not touch the brake drum. I used "Craigar" washers to center the wheel on the stud and provide better support. I had no problems with this set up. This only had to be done on the rear and it was because I was using spacers to fill the non-stock rear flare.
BTW, I still have those wheels (6 of them actually, 4 with non stock black caps) that are in great shape and have new Bridgestone Potenza 195/60/14 tires on them (not super performance tires but a very good overall driver tire)... for sale in WA state, $400 OBO, located in Tacoma. Taking space in my garage, would love to sell them!

This looks like EXACTLY what I'd need.
I know the Toyota shank is identical to the Datsun shank, so those should be perfect.
