Hardly "the almost rust-free" car the original seller was purporting it to be. I wonder what "Datsun enthusiast" told the current seller his original $6,500 buy-it-know price was market? Personally, I'm back at $2k.

It does have a 67.5 dash it looks like.

Yes, the 67.5 1600 is basically the same car, just with the 1600 drive train answer a few detail changes.

How many switches are in the dash, 3 or 4?

Mine is a 67. It has the key on the left side of dash and the 4 switches... well had. Friend of mine snapped the heater switch off the other day.

I do know the difference but for whatever reason I just assumed they only rolled out 2000 cars in 67.5 as they had already produced the 67 1600.
We all know what happens when you assume. Learn something everyday.

Numbers matching parts car? That would be very sad! I'd hate to see that chopped up. Plus it comes with some extra parts already like 2 carbs and a few other parts. If I dont take it, I'm sure someone will at $2000 or more.

Do we actually know Trailer Man spent 2k for it? After Kevbo's visit, I wouldn't be surprised if Trailer Man was able to haggle the seller down a bit.

Anyways, at least this car is out of storage and hopefully will be back on the road soon! I'll give it a GUARANTEED spot in the calendar once it's back on the road!!!!! (the guaranteed calendar spot offer is instantly VOID if Ted purchases the car) lol!

When I spoke to Trailer Man it sounded like he paid the $2000 plus $250 for shipping. He came across as a pretty straight up guy. I didnt tell him I knew about the 1600 being listed on craigslist. His story fit the other guys story. Although he said the owner said he was holding the car for him since he was sending a trailer. He also said the owner said the body was solid and wasnt 100% on the frame. Trailer man said at $2250 he felt he couldnt go wrong since it was numbers matching. I kind of agree with him. He buys, sells, and collects mainly muscle car drivers and projects.

I don't understand this "numbers matching" phenomenon.

There is almost no way to verify a roadster's engine as "numbers matching".

It might be important on a car that has verified SUPER LOW mileage. But this was certainly not a unmolested example.
