What is the difference in the side trim (molding) between a 67 and a 68?

Early trim is narrower and concave. Late is wider and convex. Late trim started with the 67.5 models

I think the early is stronger and more forgiving to dents than the later too.

It is. The Cowles trim is pretty nice. They make a trim that looks similar to the early stuff.

well - easier to sort out round trim than pointed - while the concave trim looks neat - convex i easier to maintain - imho.

Are these stainless steel side trim pieces still available? I'm still looking for the link. If anyone has a link it would be greatly appreciated. I know just the Fairlady who needs them.
Thanks.

Yes, but they can be very expensive. I know there’s a few reproductions on eBay from East Asia.
As Sid mentioned above, Cowles is a great generic option for a fraction of the price.

I think the resto trim from Taiwan is about $300 and looks extremely close to the original. Compared to restored trim for close to a thousand dollars it’s a heck of a deal. Of course the Cowels at about $25 is your cheapest way out, but looks far from original.

I got the stainless bumpers from Viet Nam and several members have gotten the side trim from the same place. Great looking stuff.

Those do look good! I'll add them to my shopping list. I'm still looking for a link, but I'll keep reading, and check eBay. I wonder if they make frames for the top.
Thanks!

No top frames from the Vietnam Co. Start a new thread "wanted" on this site, also the Roadster Facebook page. Ross Mullen Sport Imports Canada probably has one. Also there is a used Roadster parts Facebook page. Parts are in No. California, see link.

Thanks very much for the FB parts link.
I found the Vietnam site,
http://bumperautomobile.com/home.html.
As mentioned above, they're on eBay as well.

Just to update, I ordered from the eBay site. $399 with free shipping. They quickly contacted me to verify the correct year of the vehicle and I had the trim at my house within two weeks. Shipped Fed Ex with very clear instructions on the outside about being careful with the package. It worked because my door cam shows the delivery person laying the package down like it was a sleeping baby.

Came with 30 fasteners. According to a some folks on some Roadster Facebook pages, you can contact Amy directly and maybe get a better deal than the eBay link. Don't know if that included shipping. Anyway, these are the results.
