I'm Erik from South Dakota and well after owning a 90' Nissan 300zx for 12 years "sold it this spring" and owning a 1973 240z and a 78' 280z for just a little while I decided to pull the trigger on my first roadster a 69' 1600, an older guy had it stored in his garage since 1980. Something about having a rod knock and the motor was "supposedly" overhauled, still have to go through paper work, anyway the motor is together just missing a few parts and needs to have the externals put on. The guy was stationed in north Caroline in the 80's and since then the car was put in the garage, I'm the 3rd owner. Can't wait to get her back up and running before I restore her. 23k is on the odometer so I'm assuming 123k miles.

Welcome Erik. Glad you joined us. You will enjoy driving the roadster once you get her road worthy.

Looks like a very solid project. Luckily NC Roads are fairly limited on Salt application, especially if it was closer to the coast. Welcome, we look forward to pictures and updates on your progress!

Thanks!! The car originally came from California then made it here to South Dakota, first thing on the list is to get it running and work on the brakes, get it on the road before i tear it down and restore it,

Made it run- make safe- drive it- enjoy it. Then tear it down and restore it.
