Nice Richard, though shipping to the USA could be very expensive. :-(

I am busy to make "factory"hardtops, with anti scratch polycarbonate glue in clear windows (super light in weight and no more ugly rubbers)
also busy with the needed clamps, rubbers etc.

and saw the exact same pictures I just posted above.

FYI

the last two pictures you grabbed are NOT low windsheilds! They are HIGH windshields :D

My repair this time was to again remove all the molding and interior fabric around the brackets and this time I removed the melted rubber cement and re-attached the brackets using fiberglass. I also took a set of factory soft top brackets and welded a plate to them and attached to my own threaded rod so that the top would be properly secured to the car brackets. I can send photos of this if anyone is interested.
Can you send me pics of this? My Smoothline is being delivered early next week. It was ordered March 14th...so it took a while. I was a little nervous about ordering after reading your story and I think another on here, but there weren't any other options. I do actually like the way they look quite a bit. But I'm counting on it staying on the car safely....

I got the plain black (no vinyl) and will have it painted shiny black.

If Richard were to ship multiple tops, stacked and padded correctly in the same container, it would cut costs ALOT. Dimension is more costly then weight. My wife does alot of international shipping and has a great agent, she'd be happy to get quotes if we can get weights/dimensions. VAT, or exemption from VAT, import duty, if any etc are all factors too.

I'll buy one. I'm in WA state.

I just got an email back from Richard's office on the factory style hardtops. No pricing as of yet, because they are not ready to sell. They will ship to the US. Currently, they are still working on the latches and weatherstripping. No more info than that. I hope its soon. They look great in the photos.

Hey All , I will be bringing my car down to Smoothline to have a Low Widshield made to fit my car this weekend . Jack form SL is looking for input from you guys as to what we would like it to look like . He is willing to make what ever style top we would like , Parrish ,Original OEM.They will not be starting on my car right away so we have some time to give him input . Jack also suggested that we can look thru his website at other make's of cars to see if there is a style that would work . He is also trying to find out if other roadster owners would be interested in his top. Lets see if we can make this work . Hope to hear back from you guys soon

Factory Hardtop +1 I would be interested The important thing (to me) is that the top lays on the lip and not the paint.
