I am very frustrated with Jack. What I was told would be 3 months has turned into more than 2 years. He tells me that the mold is complete, and that things should be wrapped up in a couple of weeks - but I have heard the 2 weeks line for a year and a half... If I lived closer, I would drive my truck up there and get my top.

Always sad to see when someone attempts to do a generous thing (in this case, lending them your top), and then is “rewarded” in this manner for his generosity.

Sad, too, is the apparent lack of change in Smoothline’s treatment of customers:

Hoping you get your top returned soon and in good condition, Sid.

If I had remembered that discussion, I would not have agreed to send my top.

Realistically, my fiberglass guy can get stuff done in a month. This should not take this long..

Maybe it's just not a high priority, who knows. It would be nice to hear something.

I suspect this represents a low production declining sale item for an obsolete car.
In addition, it's a Japanese car which seems to get little to no respect.
I'd bet that, like most companies, there is more going on than we realize and the contact at Smoothline has run into some stumbling blocks that are not easy to circumvent.
Company philosophies change, production rules are revised, lots of "stuff" happens.
Don't be surprised if nothing comes of all the effort that's been put into trying to work with them.
Still, none of that excuses the lack of communication (even if it's unwanted).

Lots of negative reviews on FB today. Some people seem to really dislike them.

I saw that one some time back. Spendy and only for high window cars. And that's the price without shipping
