Electronic speedo?

I would like to put in all electronic gauges in my '66 w/4spd.
The only thing holding me up right now is the speedometer.

I have been told that an electronic sending unit from a KA24 transmission will fit but have been unable to get hold of one to compare and check that the output is compatible with the gauge I am looking to buy (pulses vs rising voltage). I originally thought all senders were pulse type, but someone said some may be rising voltage......I need a pulse...output.

So, Can anyone confirm that a KA24 sender will fit in the old tranny? OR, know of a pulse type sender available from the aftermarket that will bolt to the R16/U20 trannys?
