Well Henk, its what made America great, capitalism at its best. That and the American man's obsession for power tools :)

Just had a text from a friend of mine who spotted two Datsun roadsters near Sisters, Oregon which stated "...must be hard core-- they had the tops down and it looks like rain!" -- My reply-- "Red and Sora Blue? Yep-- friends of mine-- they're crazy-- you don't even know!"

Hope Richard is having a good time...

Goldendale Wa to Bellevue Wa. 5-1-16

Last day of the 2016 Solvang tour.

14 Days
3400 miles.
No mechanical problems
No tops up.
Beautiful weather with only 2 cloudy days and only about 3 hrs of rain/hail.

A BIG THANKS to those we visited. Their great hospitality was much appreciated.
The Dutch Roadster Tourists had a wonderful time and plan to return for the 30th Solvang show in 2017.
I already have a room reserved at Svendsgaards.

Ted.

Will there be a 30th Solvang? Has anyone stepped up to takeover running the show for 2017?

There will be a show in 2017.
Harlan Katz (2016 winner of first place in low windshield modified) is the new coordinator of the army of Solvang!

What a great tour Ted! So glad to see and hear that all went well with no unexpected delays. Even the weather cooperated, and that's saying a lot around the northwest this time of year.

Regarding the car kissing, I do a similar "thank you" to my car when we return home safe... But I usually just pat her on the fender...

Great to see you guys. Thanks for stopping by the Gorge. I really like the picture of the pure joy on Richard's face as he is about to dig into the steak. I propose a Tulip Tour in Holland next year.
