wiper plate mounts

Post by CSP311 »

Started to strip and clean the wiper assembly, and notice the mounting plate sits on 4 rubber mounts;

No. 26 in link, 26353-12900. I have had a quick look to find these including a couple of the vendors, with little luck. Anybody brought these, and where from?

I have never tried to find a replacement, but I would think you could get away with a pretty standard round grommet. Its the oval metal sleeve that might be a little more of a work to make, but I am sure someone would be will to send you a set.

I have some wipers that I could rob those off of, they are in good shape. That being said, a grommet would work fine.

Thankfully the oval metal sleeves are in good condition, its just the rubber that has been squashed and/or is falling apart.

spl310, I will have more of a look at finding a grommet to suit, but I may well come back to you if I may for some used ones.

On a side note, the small bolts that hold the motor to the plate are metric, which, to me was a bit of a surprise, and its all original.

Thanks for replying.

Here's what I used on my roadster and it fit perfectly:

It can be found online or at your local auto parts store in the "Dorman Help" section.

Great find! That is an item for the Wiki interchange list.
