Hey all,

My name is Ben. I don't have a Datsun roadster yet but I hadn't really been aware of the cars until recently when I discovered the shell, engine and transmission to a 2000 in our barn. My dad had been about to sell it on craigslist for a couple hundred bucks before we realized its value. I'm not ready to restore the 2000 yet but I am currently looking for a 1600 to drive around in during the summer. No classic cars on the road during the winter here, the salt eats everything (Minneapolis). Just wanted to say I'm glad to be part of this community and I'm excited to find a 1600!

Are you watching the one on bring a trailer?

Let's see pics of the shell and motor/trans you have. You might be able to restore it. Or get a 1600 motor and trans and put that in. There was one for sale here on the site.

Watched the one on Bring a Trailer, price spiked out of my range at the end. I will post some photos of the 2000 when the weather clears up.

I think he said he was 6'5" and too tall for the low windscreen models.

I had a buddy who was that tall and he drove an MG midget. Tall people can fit in a low windshield car, it just takes some adjustments.
