Hi all. I'm new to this site & totally stumbled upon an early 1965 SPL310 that is UGLY but 99.9% complete including good windshield (low). The car is UGLY but solid & ONLY missing 1 headlight ring & 1 trim ring for the wheel.
I have bought the car & the weather being so cold this week I won't be bringing it home for a week. It is buried in a shop & been there 10 years.
I am 47 & I ALWAYS "find" cool stuff & then research the best thing to do with that item. Currently we have a 1946 & 1947 Studebaker, 1989 IROC & 1986 Knight Rider Trans Am I'm building/restoring/working on plus a 1 yr old that I am busy with.
The Datsun is awesome but my wife isn't going to tolerate more time dedicated to a restoration of a Datsun roadster.
I am not one who likes to part out cars but in this case it's not a low mileage survivor however it is an early car that should be saved. My question is (this isn't about maximizing money in my pocket either) will someone restore this car? As with ANY forums I'm sure there's people who hunt these cars JUST to part out & others who buy to flip & still others looking for particular parts to complete their own projects.
Is this one to part or sell whole? I do have a clear title. I am a collector & restorer but this isn't one I'm planning on keeping but one I wanted to save from this car going to waste away in a dark pole barn.
Probably sell & hunt a 240Z as I had back in High School
