Gauge Updates

I am considering replacing my origianl factory gauges with Autometer gauges. In the description on this site (see electrical at 311s.org) someone wrote 2 3/8" gauges fit. Autometer only uses 2 1/16" or 2 5/8 " now. I found that most of the gauges at 2 1/16" can be used if you use a o-ring. However, for the clock, the hole opening in a 66 is 2.363". My question is has anyone adapted or changed the clock out using an autometer clock? If so, what did you do?
Also, for the Tach or Speedo, the gauge size is 4.551". Most Tachs require a 4.625" hole. Appears that you would have to file down 0.074 ". Has anyone tried this? Any experiences would be helpful.
One last question? If you were to switch to a autometer fuel gauge? The site specified "Fuel gauge 2-3/8"-used Ford unit as it has correct ohms and works well-not 100% below a 1/2 tank". Since the models for autometer gauges have propably changed, can anyone list the Ohms required or a part number.
As Always,
Thanks in advance.
