SR20DE on it's way.
After a long hiatuses I've decided to go another route. I originally planned to do a KA24DE swap for the 70' roadster, but after meeting a friend with an SR powered roadster completely changed my mind realizing that I've always loved and enjoyed how the SR felt. To keep things short i recently ordered an SR20DE notch top and it's on it's way from Canada. ill keep you guys posted on the project.

Did you buy the engine from a supplier or just some guy? I am looking for an upgrade to the 1600.

Re: SR20DE on it's way.

Updated: I did bit of cleaning and inspection. Compression test about 160psi. Trans. pulled. Clutch needs to be replaced rear oil seal needs to be replaced as well as soon as I take off the fly wheel and resurface the flywheel as well.
Does anyone know what clutch fits the S14 SR20DE? I checked other forums and I can't seem to get a straight foward answer.
Thanks in advance.

Re: SR20DE on it's way.
Maybe a little off track, but is it common to replace rear oil seals on these engines w/50k miles? Anything else that just makes sense to replace prior to install since its a 15-20 year old engine even w/lower JDM mileage? Also what is the usual compression expected for a healthy engine? If you bought a higher compression motor, say an Autech, would that number be higher?

@goldhawg
For the mileage not too sure if it is common. For me Usually when it leaks its time to inspect and while you inspect there are parts to replace if necessary.
As for a healthy compression it's a wide range in my opinion of what's healthy.
