I like the in-tank solution, but I have been using a two pump system for 10 years. You can hear the pumps before you start the engine. but never noticed after I started my engine. Its my experience that running a single 044 pump will result in VERY short pump life.
It takes only a few short bursts of running out of fuel for the performance of the pump to start to degrade and make noise.

Thanks for the warning Michael and Greg.
I found a tank nearby that I gonna pickup today.
I have the tank and pump but do you use the original pump or is it better to replace it(when it fit) with my bosch pump.
Do you use the level indicator from the datsun or the one from the Honda.
Horsepower is how hard you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Iirc your bosch pump is external. Use of the honda pump and return cup, should reduce the risk of fuel starvation. Your choice. The honda pump has a pickup and return tube. The original pickup tube will have to be blocked off.
You should be able to use the stock sender, but you may need to relocate it to clear the honda pump.

David, If I understand correctly I can't change that internal pump for my external pump on the same place.
But is the honda pump strong enough to fill my injection system, it was from a 1400cc honda engine.

Peter, you need to get a 255lph minimum for your turbo engine. The 255 pumps can support up to 500hp. If your fuel pump can't keep up and maintain your fuel rail pressure you could have detonation issues and potential disaster. Here in the states online you can get a Walbro 255 for a 2000 Honda civic for about a 100.00 shipped. I don't know your fuel system setup, like how big your fuel line supply and return line back to tank, or injector size, you don't want to take a chance on a stock Honda pump with all the work you have done. Just my 2 cents worth.

Yes, the honda is an in tank style pump. From what Ive read 80 LPH, 47-54 regulator pressure (for honda).

This winter I rebuild my engine en partly my gearbox bearings.

The engine (ca18det) has now CP pistons and ACL bearings, and hopefully this will give my engine 10 years extra.
In the gearbox I replaced the main bearing by a Closed version, in the top of the gearbox is sometimes oil starvation. My tank has now a build in fuelpump with a try to hold fuel pressure. At the engine I let them all the metal parts yellow plating, and that looks great.

Engine runs great, I installed the new thicker sway bar and that makes a lot of difference, the car is at corners much more stabil. There are some minor problems with the pressure on the fuel line after a while, I have to find out where that problem is. I already installed a valve into the fuel line but still lose some pressure after a week when I start it. The gearbox doesn't wine anymore, the only thing I hear is the diff that wines a little. I filled the diff with red line lightweight shockproof. The intank fuelpump works great.

The intank honda connection with a 200SX fuel pump was not what I expected. I had problems with fuel starvation. So I purchased a *Genuine* Walbro GSS342 255LPH Fuel Pump +Install Kit for Honda Civic and that did the job well. No fuel problems, I am happy.

The Honda pump works fine for a stock NA car.. When you go for more power, or forced induction, you will want to go to at least the Walbro.. fuel starvation and turbos can do bad things to pretty pistons..

Thank Peter,

Here's my questions:

. I have just picked up a CA18DET engine for my
67.5 1600 and I'm looking for some advice in installation.

What do I need to do for correct motor mounts/engine position? The engine I have has the motor mount arms but the lower mounts missing:

Image

I will be sourcing some stock ones unless there is a better solution for the swap.

Also, what transmission mount type is needed for the S13 5 speed, again can a stock Nissan mount be used or is there a better solution?

I will be looking at fuel system upgrades, probably a Walbro pump and adjustable fuel pressure regulator, of course.

Also, If there is no exhaust manifold solution to buy, I will be building a custom one for mounting the turbo away from the steering shaft.
