SR20 Badge

Post by Kendall124 »

Yes yes, this has been explored in the past but I thought I'd take it a step further. Now this is not my idea, I found it here on 311s.org.
I contacted a local hobbyist about doing some SR20 badges that duplicate our 1600/2000 badges. He rendered a CAD file with dimensions I provided. He came back with a price of roughly $1000.00 for three (3)!!!!
Badges would be stainless. Not sure about how we'd get the black background on them (baked enamel?) Mounting would be the next issue (glue? 3m tape? screws?)

Have a look. My wallet is still cooling off from the recent SR20 install AND I'm purchasing a new garage for my Roadster. (It does come with a house attached). Not sure if 1K is in the cards right now. It does, however, look really freakin' cool.

That is expensive!
I had some decals made for the 660Z, 2 layer, black base, top chrome. A bit tricky to appy, but in the end, I was lucky, and the two seperate peices lined up great.
The first one cost a benji (set up), the other two were $10 ea.
If applied correctly, will last a lifetime.

Those look great. I just went through that thread that you linked. Wow, never found that one. Folks are kinda passionate about badges.
