This may be the wrong section so transfer it to the correct one if needed
I have a 68 SPL311 that I am doing a full restoration on and recently disassembled the motor to rebuild it. I'm wanting at little extra performance out of it and have read a couple of places that you can swap the U20 crank, rods, and pistons into the R16 block and build a "stroker" kit. Is this possible? If so what else will need to be changed? Obviously i'm thinking the cam, valves, and springs will need to be changed but is there anything else?

Re: R16 Stroker Kit
If you look in the Wiki, under engine swap and info, you'll find a good start. Also, search will reveal more stroker info than you could possibly use.
Good luck with your project.

Re: R16 Stroker Kit
Funny timing, I was going to put a stroker kit on ebay. Clearance ground H20 crank (guaranteed to fit if you block is in spec), bearings, reconditioned rods with ARP bolts, pistons, chain. PM and I'll figure out a price// jt

Pistons are AL, rods are forged steel (original).

Re: R16 Stroker Kit
Anyone have any good sources for H20 crankshafts? I'm having a beast of a time hunting one down.

The whole stroker kit is 1250. Excellent turned crank .010. High quality Japanese pistons and rings, aligned-rebored-ready to use U20 rods, High quality main/rod bearings. Outright, no core charges! Jt
