To Shasta from LA

Post by Howard R »

Anyone from Socal ever driven to Shasta? How long does it take? It seems about 10 hrs. I'd love to go, but 10 hours in the roadster sounds like a grueling ride. Any thoughts?

Howard,

Im on the same boat, I would love to go, but 10 hours is a long way! I have no problem driving up in the roadster though! Maybe if I drove up with another roadster maybe I would go....

Drive

People drive all the way from Arizona for the show, I am sure it is a hot ride though. Come on up! Nothing like putting some miles on the roadster to show you how reliable they are.

If your serious Howard, pester me, shame me into caravaning up with you. I always seem to find an excuse to miss this event.

Vic, I'm still debating whether to go. It's a long long ride for a one day event. I'll probably not make a decision until mid June. However, you would be the perfect one to caravan with. Ya know, your mechanical skills. I'll supply the bottled water and cigarettes.

Its a 1 day event? I thought it was 3 days (fri. sat. sun.) . But then again, any roadster even is fun! I gotta think about it....

I'll trade you for the 30.5 hours to get there from here.

You're just going for a day trip from where you are!

If I do go, it will be the first time I drive for so long. I have driven for 4 hours straight, no problem. 10 hours could be a bit harder but I am willing!

Joaquin

I drive sometimes but not legally. I drove once for 4 hours with my inlaw. They say I look older than I really am so that helps a bit. I went to Solvang, but not in the roadster, Sorry you could not make it Ron.

If you guys are serious about caravaning from LA, I may have to think about making this event. It would make the drive a lot nicer with everyone else.
