Getting Acquainted

Hi Gang,
I'm a self-described car/motorcycle guy and I've decided my next ride should be a sweet little roadster. Over the years I've had various cars, trucks and motorcycles, and my stable is now overstuffed. I'm going to be passing along my Lotus Esprit and my '73 mustang to some new owners (as soon as I clean 'em up and sell 'em), and replacing them with a 311, so I'm here getting ed-ja-ma-kated so I can make a smart purchase.
Looking forward to lots of sunny miles, and thanks for the knowledge I've already gained, and for that to come.

Bret

Welcome Bret,
A few things,
Good to post your location. There may be other owners in your area, so you can get in touch, check out their cars which will help you to make a better decision.
Buy the best you can afford - (use other people's money to get the car you want) - mechanics being paramount - if you can't drive it. it becomes a paperweight.
Know the rust areas - back of the front fenders being an important one and to an extent the front of the rears.
This is one of the BEST marque sites on the internet - knowledgeable, helpful members who are into their rides.
We have great vendors and there are a TON of parts out there to keep your ride sweet.
