What type of clutch are you using ?

Its time for a clutch replacement on my SRL 20U. I have a comp Aluminum flywheel and thinking of a 90% over stock Center Force kit for it. The tech's at Center Force say that the apply pressure( slave cylinder force) is basically the same as stock.

Any thoughts or other manufactures ? This is mostly a street car with ~ 160HP. The cost is about $ 360 for the kit less flywheel, through Summit Racing.

I'm aslo installing an oil cooler. radiator(oil) is coming from Moss and i'm planning on making the aero-quip lines locally. Has anyone have the original routing and filter location? Pictures would help.

The cooler originally mounted in one of two places. On the front crossmember behind the grill you will find two pairs of phillips head screws. (or holes if they were removed for some reason...) That is where the radiator went. The other option was a racing item. It is a bracket that bolted where the lower air guide goes and the radiator mounted in the bottom of it. The Japanese are all hot for that one, but it is rather pointless on the street in my opinion.

The hose routing was up to the individual. The tough part to find is the oil filter base that has the bungs for the lines to attach to. A sandwich plate is the easy answer.

I've done both and didn't like either one of them. The centerforce was easy to break and the oil cooler just took longer to supply bearings with oil. Now I use a stainless flex fan and stay cooool!

You can save half your money and just buy a stock roadster clutch for a 2000. If you have 160hp it can more than handle the rotational force.

Thanks for the input. I was just seeing if there was something else out there. I went with a Clutch Masters kit, which is all new parts, and slightly more holding force than stock. It was $ 159.00 to my door. I was looking at higher plates and better disc's for the Al. flywheel, but decided to try an organic setup.
