What are the quintessential roadster wheels?

I have Pannasports on my roadster and I know that I should be content with that. Yet, I feel like these wheels and the copies of them are too common and maybe I should go with another choice like LeMans, or Libre, or ? What is the aftermarket vintage/retro wheel that just screams "roadster."

I like the Libre's too, but think the Empi 8 spoke is THE Roadster wheel. They were made specifically for the Roadster after all.

I think alot depends on the color style and stance of the car. Can almost never go wrong with LeMans/Libre, but what color/finish? Gunmetal or black Empi works too.

IMHO, Stock wheels need to be widened for the "Vintage" Look on anything but a bone stock roadster.

These are nice wheels for a roadster and the color aligns with all the chrome and aluminum.
Now if there was a gold griffin instead of the VTO in the cap ...

Libras!
We did a comparison of stock/EMPI and Libras here:

IMHO, I agree that Panasports are a "safe" but boring choice. At Solvang I was really impressed with the 15" Libras on MIke Young's SRL:
