Alvin,
You are developing the WhatelsecanIdo syndrome. Your car is done but you need to keep going. Now you can go the rice burner way and put on a whale tale and ground lights. A bunch of stickers that sais your car has stuff it doesnt. OR Time to get another Roadster and do it again.
Congrats on your Solvang prize.

You know, as much as I have pored over details, I never thought about that, but it makes sense! Cool observation to whoever spotted it!!
Gas cap seal

I can personally attest to Alvin's gas cap info. I was having a problem with my gas tank pressurizing and Herb Petty told me to realign the seal as he stated there is a little air path formed under the seal and if the seal is turned incorrectly it will block the breather.
I don't think that Datsuns are ever complete but continuing projects..Alvin still has some more items to take care of!

Isn't that the first step in getting another Roadster?

Lexi, Yep, the damn car was a trailer queen, first time in it's life. The brakes felt soft so I opted to trailer it. Now that I am back I am going to get one of them fancy brake bleeder thing a ma jiggers and get the air out. I saw no sense in driving it and risking an accident .

Gerardo,
They are called Mighty Vacs, I have one and they seem to work pretty good. I am going to try speed bleeders next.

After you use it, if you keep it full with a little pressure, the fluid you store in it doesn't go bad.[/img]
