Hello everyone, I have an original stock exhaust manifold( header), it's for a late model 1600 and has a three bolt pattern at the collector end. My question is, is there a donut gasket that slips on the exhaust pipe and into the exhaust manifold or is it a metal to metal fit. I also have the stock exhaust pipe fitting with flange. I just need to know if I'm missing something before tightening thing up .. Bill

Bill,

I don't know if there was a donut there originally, but one is a good idea. Make friends at an exhaust shop or the Nissan parts counter and you will be amazed at what they can come up with. I am about to attack that same issue, so please share what you find!

Sid, I did find out something with this stock setup, One of the studs were missing on the collector end of the manifold, I tried a head to manifold stud and it fit right in the threads like it was made for it. I believe it was a longer metric size stud from a 69 2000 head, also used some old 12 mm manifold bolts... Bill
