I'm planning to check it out this Saturday 4/11. Maybe a few of you can make it with or without your Roadsters. In the past it was an open house and you could roam around the restoration shop.

I should be there around 10a, maybe earlier. If anyone wants to meet in Los Gatos and roll over the hill together, let me know.

It runs from 8a-noon. I plan to arrive at Canepa around 10a.

For those coming via San Jose / Los Gatos, I'll be grabbing a bite at Panera's at 9a if you want to drive over the hill together.

Ah, smitten by the proverbial one more week already, a true roadster aficionado!

Just a reminder..... I think today 9/12/2015 is the next to the last "Canepa cars and coffee" in Scotts Valley California for 2015.

"Canepa Cars & Coffee will take place from 8am-12pm on the second Saturday of the month through October. The perfect event for clubs, aficionados, and car crazies of all ages! "

It normally goes April to October.

Likewise! I will probably get there around 9:00 to 9:30. my car is ready to go except for some weird ignition issues. If I can't get it started I will be there without it.

I Almost made it.....But this morning was the first time the car has been driven in 6 years and things didn't all go according to plan. It wasn't starting at first, not evan turning over, but we wacked the starter motor with a broom handle and now it starts every time :) When it was idling coolant stated over flowing from the cap on the top of the radiator so we bent the tabs on the cap inward to make it seal tighter. We set off (dad insisted on driving) and headed for Canepa on Granite Creek Road. The steering is insanely stiff. We suspect the universal joint to be frozen. Evan though we started off with an indicated half tank of fuel after a few minutes we were in the E. Than we got to the steep part of the road and an extreme lack of power became apparent. I don't think we were running on all cylinders. Sludge from the bottom of the fuel tank probably wasn't helping things. In first gear with the pedal to the metal we were barely going 2mph. Jamming the choke in and out helped a bit but things got worse so we had to turn around and head for home. Defeated for the moment.
I did go to Canepa (in a Mazda) but there were too many LaFerraris and not enough in the way of Roadsters.
